You need to be aware that if you choose to disable cookies from your browser it may prevent you from taking full advantage of the Aggregates Direct website, as some or all of the areas of the website may fail to work for you, including some of the payment options.
The cookies which we use on our website are considered to be strictly necessary for the operation of certain aspects of the website. Therefore, please be aware that if these cookies are disabled we may be unable to provide certain services which you have requested.
Like many other businesses, we use an email analytics service to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. Aggregates Direct marketing emails contain a pixel which tracks how many emails were sent, how many were opened and whether links in the email were followed (“click through rates”).
The information returned to Aggregates Direct includes the time, location, email address (addressee only), whether the email was forwarded, the operating system and device used to read the email, as well as IP address. We use this on an anonymous basis to measure the performance of our email messages so we can improve the relevance and effectiveness of our email marketing. This information is not added to your customer profile, nor is it used to make any decisions about individual customers.
You can change the settings in your email client (e.g. Outlook) or web service so that images in emails (including tracking pixels) are not loaded automatically. You can find out how to do this in the settings for your email client or web service.
Alternatively if you choose to opt out of receiving marketing emails from Aggregates Direct, you will no longer receive any of the tracking pixels that are associated with them. But of course by doing so you will miss out on all the latest products, offers and competitions from Aggregates Direct.
